Baby Clothes for Newborn

 In Baby Clothes

We understand that first time parents might feel lost the first time they go shopping for the baby clothes. More often than not, our baby will be very, very shabby, and when it comes to changing outfits for them, we don’t want to find ourselves short!

In addition, when choosing baby clothes – both newborn boys and girls, we should remember to prioritize the comfort of clothing. Meaning, we will need to inspect for annoying seams, tags, or anything that might cause discomfort. If it feels slightly bad to your palm, then it will feel terrible to the baby.

Oh, and before we proceed, please do bear in mind that it is extremely hard to predict the clothing size your baby will need. Generally, newborns tend to outgrow 0-3 months clothing with haste, but then there are preemie who tend to stick to newborn clothes for over half a year, and finally, we have the large baby boys and girls who would skip the newborn sizes and head straight to the 3-6 month size in weeks.

Please be reminded that there is no absolute guideline on how many pieces of these baby clothing you will need, as it depends on the frequency of you doing your laundry. But then again, a simple guideline is better than nothing at all right?

8 Onesies / Rompers / One-piece Outfits

These sweetness are must-haves in your inventory – great for both sleep and play. They offer magnificent cuteness, comfort and convenience too!

…or 8 Turtlenecks

Some parents prefer the tees in contrast to rompers as its easy to slip it on over your baby’s head. To get the best from both worlds, why not get both onesies and turtlenecks?

8 Pull-on Pants

In the event that your baby messes up, say, the diaper cloth, pants give you the freedom that you only need to change one piece instead of the whole romper/onesie. Don’t forget to get the ones with waistbands to accommodate your quick-growing baby!

1 Cardigan Sweater

This is not just for winter, if you have air-conditioning in the summer, make sure you keep your babies well protected from the chills too.

4 Pairs of Socks

Keep your babies warm even in indoors!

3 Hats

Get those that can cover the ears for extra warmth during cool or winter seasons, for summer months or warmer climates, get those with a broad-brimmed.

Do remember that this is but a guideline that you will be able to do your laundry at least once every 4 or 5 days. If you can afford to do the washing every day, then feel free to cut the numbers by half.
